THE TREK-END DECEMBER 2015

IMG_20151225_172422 CHRISTMAS DAY …NATIONAL HOLIDAY IN INDIA SO MANY HOLIDAY MAKERS. ENJOYING THE BEAUTIFUL SUNNY DAY ON THE BEACHES OF RAM JHULA

The photos in this post are just some scenes from my last days here….

I have not done much blogging these past three months while in Rishikesh.  I did not feel the need to record and share the many amazing things that have happened to me on the journey this year, and I honored that feeling as much as possible.  This has been an exciting and rewarding three months for me, more than I could ever have imagined…

It was much more than the usual enlightening journey and opportunity to grow that India always is for me.

SHANA TOVA – HAPPY NEW YEAR

India 2008-2015

…EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT JEWISH!  🙂

SHANA TOVA HAPPY NEW YEAR

As always, my prayers are with all of you and as the Jewish New Year approaches, this is a good time to contemplate (and you don’t have to be Jewish to use the opportunity) where you were last year at this time, where you are today, how you feel about your “today” and how much of what you dreamed of last year you have succeeded in manifesting into reality !!

I leave you with my blessings for another wonderful year, and of course with the following food for thought:

Cultivating Faith is no different than cultivating a garden. The more time you spend on it,the more beautifully it will grow and bring you joy. You must weed it continually, and the weeds in the garden of Faith are fear and doubt. The water and fertilizer which allow it grow are prayer, meditation and…more…

PERFECTION IN UNIQUENESS

We are spectacular BECAUSE of our differences. They are what make us Simply Unique and Perfect.

Here is a small sampling of the huge variety of flowers I encountered while doing my errands in town today

The Divine Artistry and Creativity of Nature is truly astounding. No human hand could ever produce such perfection, such variety, such uniqueness.

These are all “Flowers”, but each is individually amazing, spectacular, and wondrous in its own beauty.  Each one is completely different than the other.  Their being different doesn’t make them any less amazing, spectacular or wondrous.  Simply Unique and Perfect.

In the same way, we have all been created by God, Divinely special, unique, perfect.  We are precise works of Divine Art, designed and created exactly as we should be. PERFECT exactly as we are.  UNIQUE in ways that are astoundingly beautiful.

We are spectacular BECAUSE of our differences.  They are what make us Simply Unique and Perfect…

HOMESICK…

India 2008-2015

Sites and Sounds of Tapovan Village, Rishikesh

India is not all noise and bustle. There are beautiful sounds and sights of Nature as well!

 Uploaded on Jan 9, 2010

While walking up the mountain past the village, I was accompanied by rapids, and the beautiful music of the water was with me all the time. Other than the occasional bird-call, that was the only sound I heard most of the time. The sound of the water became progressively louder the higher up I walked, until it was the only thing I heard. And if I ventured off the main path for awhile, I was greeted with almost an eerie silence once the water sounds could no longer be heard.Make sure you watch until the end and see the lady bathing her buffalo!
