Just had to share this thought!  Think about it…it is quite profound.  Remember the phrase:

Cauldrons and Cupcakes

Today I’m going to look at some very simple healing techniques using crystals. These can be used for yourself, loved ones, and even for your pets.  My dogs both love having any form of energy work and I have even used crystals for my cows!

Crystals for Emotional and Energetic Support:

Crystals all have their own energy fields, and their own natural healing qualities.  Each stone will also have its own unique energy or personality, just as humans do. Small stones can have big fields, so don’t underestimate those smaller stones.

One of the easiest ways to use a crystal is simply to wear it as jewellery, tuck it into your bra or pop it in your pocket.

You could also place it beside you in the workplace, on your bedside table, or under your pillow.

Some of my personal favourites that are easy to source are:

A Time for Cleansing and Renewal

Brilliant blue skies, invigorating breeze whipping around your hair (for those who have it(!)), bird songs everywhere, the heady smell of orange blossoms, flowers and trees in bloom,  the hum of bees, renewed warmth and sunshine – these are all the wonderful blessings of  Spring in the Air.

After a very long, dreary, cold and rainy winter (which is of course a blessing in a country which never has enough water-but this doesn’t make the winter any easier to live through for those of us who don’t do well in cold and damp), these wonderful blessings of Spring are even more appreciated and welcome.

And when everything is renewing itself in Nature, we, as human beings also feel the need for renewal, hence the common practice all over the world of “spring cleaning”.   This does not have to end with the physical cleaning of our homes and gardens.  It is a perfect season for Nurturing ourselves as well. A perfect time to literally cleanse and rejuvenate ourselves as well physically.  We all have our own ways of doing this, but one of my favorite is to spend a few days just juicing, or if a full juice fast is too difficult (as it is for me),  eating lightly and drinking at least a liter of freshly juiced veggies and fruits during the day.  The effects are instantaneous and the benefits many.  When I am in India of course, I do my month long Panchakarma which is the height of detox and rejuvenation, but alas, I will miss out on this, this year

And then of course, we might want to move on to further cleansing, on other levels . The time when all of Nature is bursting forth in bloom and renewing itself, is a perfect opportunity for our own body (as above) but also mind and Spirit to blossom forth with new vigor. There are many ways to “feel clean” on levels other than physical.  Just one quick example (see how many you can imagine yourself), is to imagine water flowing over, around and through you and gently washing away anything which is no longer of value or use to you in your life.

Feel its cool flow and imagine its clarity and its cleansing effects.  This exercise can easily be worked into your meditation practice, or as an exercise in itself a couple of times a day.  It is also helpful to do it while actually in the shower, while the actual water is cleansing you from the outside, imagine this flow cleansing you from the inside.  Use your imagination.  Play with the idea, and ENJOY!

It is also the time of year when Passover is celebrated, also know as the Festival of Freedom-not just for the obvious reason of the children of Israel being freed from slavery, but a celebration of our freeing ourselves from types of enslavement – Freedom from limiting thought patterns, negative emotions and perceptions, and most important-Freedom from Fear and the renewal and strengthening of Faith.  Faith in God and the Universe, and Faith in ourselves and our Divine right to live  a full, joyous and blessed life.

If you choose to, you can also ask the Angels for assistance in this rebirthing process.  You may have your favorite Angels that you turn to, or you could ask Archangel Raphael for help as he is the remover of all obstacles to healing (some of you might choose to turn to Ganesh for removing of obstacles of any kind on your journey), to Archangel Gabrielle, who brings us into full awareness of our Divine, subtle but powerful feminine energies and strength, Archangel Michael who protects us, fills us with cleansing white light and removes negativity on all levels, and finally, Archangel Uriel, guiding us forward in this adventure we call our life journey and this period of renewal and growth. He guides us through the difficult choices, (he is sometimes called the psychologist Angel) lighting the way when it becomes dark and frightening, and giving us the “road map” when the road becomes confusing and we don’t know which way to turn next.

Will try and post further suggestions for deeper cleansing, but for now, am concentrating on the physical me, and trying to devote as much energy to the process, including extra sleep and rest during the day, so posts will be shorter than usual and more sporadic.

Will be sharing further ideas, and would love to hear from you as well about your own ways of cleansing and rejuvenating yourselves.

with much light love and JOY

Dear readers
Would love to get your feedback here. I felt the need to change the blog theme, but didn’t want anything too drastic, so am trying out the theme from my Mindfulness Journal Blog http://mindfulnessjournal.wordpress.com

Would love to hear what you think of the change. Also, if the header default photo suits this blog or if I should change it to the same scene from India from the previous theme. I find this new theme more soothing to the eyes and senses, but this might just be me.

PS to original post from yesterday: I HAVE changed the default header and am using one of my own scenes from India (cropped to fit the header settings). Will be changing it every few days until I find the one I am most comfortable with. Again, would LOVE to hear your comments on this – after all – YOU are the ones who have to look at this!! 🙂

Thanks for your comments. Looking forward.

with love light and JOY

I have been honored by Yamyah, from Into The Heart  at http://crystalmoons.wordpress.com   who has lovingly nominated me for The Very Inspiring Blogger Award.  If you have not already met her, I highly recommend checking out her blog. It is inspirational and beautifully written, in addition to her amazing photo images.  It is truly a privileged to have been nominated by this lovely blue Angel of joy and peace. A big big thanks to you dear and to the God and the Universe for guiding to you.

In accepting this award, I must follow the 3 rules.

1.  Thank the person who nominated me.

2.  Share 7 things about myself.

3.  Pass the award to seven nominees.

So, here are the 7 random things about myself.

1.       My greatest joy and blessing during this sojourn on Earth is my family. My 6 amazing children and the extended family of additional sons and daughter-in-law they have brought me, and my 13 wonderful grandchildren ranging in age from 8 months to 18 years!

Me and My Kids – Five daughters, and one son-the “baby”

2.     I had the honor and privilege to meet Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo-the first Western woman to be ordained as a Tibetan Buddhist Nun.  This meeting resulted in a powerful but subtle shift in perception for me  leading to a “growth spurt” in my life’s journey. You can read about her amazing life story here:  Cave in the Snow

You can also find more information about her life’s work, her nunnery, at this website:  www.tenzinpalmo.com/

3.     I have three loving Guides who have been with me since birth (although I was forced to deny their existence on threat of punishment when I was 7 years old). I reunited with them in my 50’s through a deep meditation practice and they  have agreed to publicly reveal my pet names for them since childhood.  Kaki, Gee and Chuchibell!!

4.       I was blessed to have an audience with HH Dalai Lama in 2001, and the effects of that brief meeting are still rippling through my life to this very day.

5.       I love to play computer games rationalizing that they are good for my rapidly aging brain, but how much brain power do you need to play Bubbles?!?!?

6.       I love to dance and have been doing it in one way or another since the age of 2. For the past 35 years I have both taught and danced Israeli Folk Dancing-I currently dance 3 times  week, each session lasting about 4 hours.

7.       My one vanity is painting my fingernails!!

The seven blogs I have chosen to nominate, in no particular order are:

http://beyondthecall.wordpress.com

http://dhyanavibrations.wordpress.com

 http://heartwhispers.co.uk

http://momentumofjoy.wordpress.com

http://olea.wordpress.com

http://threedeelife.com

http://www.feelgoodtribe.com

I would have loved to have chosen more, this was a difficult job, but hopefully will do that at another time.  These blogs continually surprise me with the depth of their ideas, the scope of their interests and their ability to keep me constantly mindful and aware of each and every moment, and to be grateful for all the blessings showered upon me each and every day.  They bring great insight and JOY into my day, and hope  you will also find them of some sort of assistance along your own life’s journey.

With love light and JOY

The blessings of Nature are with us everywhere

Being Mindful is all it takes to receive them.

Birds come for lunch at the Coffee Shop in the Marina

What could have been a boring, humdrum visit to the bank to check financing for a car, turned into a sight for the eyes and food for the soul. Just because I am “not in India” this year, doesn’t mean there are not wonders to see on my daily walks around town! How blessed I am!  You can Click on the Thumbnails at the End of this Post to see more photos of my days mindfulness outing…just click on each one to enlarge and move on to the next in order.
